JNPMEDI announced on the 31st that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Australia's largest clinical trial site, CMAX Clinical Research, to expand the clinical trial business.
Key representatives from JNPMEDI, including CEO Kwunho Jung, and CMAX, including CBO Zoe Harrison and BD Manager Rachel Rupert attended the signing ceremony at Bio Korea.
Australia is recognized as a significant country for clinical trials due to its advantages in speed and quality of early-phase clinical trial results, cost competitiveness, and tax rebates for R&D expenses. Through this agreement, both parties agreed to facilitate the connection between Korean and Australian pharmaceutical and biotech companies and support the conduct of clinical trials for domestic pharmaceutical and biotech companies in Australia.
Kwunho Jung, CEO of JNPMEDI, stated, "This agreement provides a foundation for our domestic clients to successfully conduct early-phase clinical trials in Australia and ultimately advance into larger markets such as the US and Europe. We look forward to achieving greater synergy through the establishment of a multifaceted cooperation system between the two companies."
Zoe Harrison, CBO at CMAX, remarked, "In recent years, the importance of Korean pharmaceutical and biotech companies has significantly increased. By expanding business with well-known Korean companies that perform high-quality clinical research, we aim to contribute to the development of clinical trials in both countries and become a key supporter of clinical trials in Australia."
