On the 31st, JNPMEDI, a medical data platform company led by CEO Kwunho Jeong, announced that it has signed a business agreement (MOU) with Kangbuk Samsung Hospital, led by Director Hyuncheol Shin, for the establishment of a 'Patient-Centered Smart Clinical Trials Center'.
On July 28th, a business agreement ceremony was held at the main office of Kangbuk Samsung Hospital, attended by key personnel including Minseok Kim, Business Head of JNPMEDI, and Donghoe Koo, Director of the Clinical Trials Center at Kangbuk Samsung Hospital.
This agreement was promoted to create a smart and patient-centered clinical trial center by digitally enabling and strengthening the competitiveness of Kangbuk Samsung Hospital’s clinical research center, which was newly established earlier this year. The two companies plan to expand the scope of cooperation, starting with the implementation of remote electronic consent services for the Investigator Initiated Trial (IIT) conducted at Kangbuk Samsung Medical Center.
Kangbuk Samsung Medical Center will provide its clinical trial know-how, expertise, and infrastructure, and JNPMEDI will provide its ever-increasing set of AI and blockchain-backed clinical trial and DCT-enabling tools.
Minseok Kim, Business Head of JNPMEDI, expressed, "I am deeply honored to be able to contribute to the new leap of Kangbuk Samsung Hospital, equipped with the finest medical infrastructure and researchers," adding, "I look forward to playing a crucial role in the digital transformation and globalization of clinical research in Korea alongside Kangbuk Samsung Hospital."
Donghoe Koo, Director of the Clinical Trials Center at Kangbuk Samsung Hospital, remarked, "Establishing a patient-centered clinical trial environment based on digital technology will serve as a stepping stone towards becoming a smart clinical trials center," and stated, "We will strive to lead in domestic and international clinical research."
